Our missions giving is ten percent off the top of the general fund offering, distributed to both overseas and local missionaries and to local agencies.  There is a missions committee and we provide prayer updates and invite people we support (some home on furlough) to make reports and preach.  We have “snack-and-chats” after those services so the congregation can spend time with our missionaries.  We also support our pastor going to Uganda with Kingdom Work Ministries to help train pastors in a tribal area and then share his experiences with the congregation in an informal setting and from the pulpit.

Expansion of missions’ awareness is built through regular visits of our supported men and women.  Individual support and participation in local ministries is something we do by helping members hook up with agencies they are interested in.  We are moving in the direction of member participation in short-term medical and construction overseas work.
